Eyelet Friend
For corner eyelet placement, lay your Eyelet Friend on top of your
project, matching the corners. Place the heel of your hand on top of the
template while holding your "anywhere punch" in the corner hole. With your
other hand, hit the punch with your hammer once or twice to create the hole.
To have your corner hole farther from the edge of the paper, turn the
Eyelet Friend around and line up the corner of your paper with the additional
corner markings. You'll be punching through the same corner hole of
the template, but it will be farther from the edge. Repeat on each corner;
all holes will be the identical!
For centered fiber, ribbon, or bow embellishments along the top, bottom
or side of your paper, use the pairs of holes along each side of the
template.
Eight distances are included; one of them will be perfect for your
project!
Tips:
When attaching vellum to your project, punch through the vellum and
card stock at the same time. The Eyelet Friend will hold the vellum secure
while you punch. This will keep your vellum flat; no more puffy or buckling
vellum!
The Eyelet Friend is standard card size (4 1/4 x 5 1/2"); you won't
need to move it while working on this size. For larger projects, you will need
to adjust the template to the location you want to punch. Just align the
corner of the paper with a corner of your Eyelet Friend. The holes
will still be perfectly placed!
For the centered embellishments, match the center of the Eyelet
Friend to the center of your project. Slide the template up or down, matching
the side markings, until you have the desired distance at the location you
prefer.
